Mobil SHC Aware™ ST Series stern tube oil
Mobil SHC™ Aware™ ST Series meet Vessel General Permit (VGP) requirements for environmentally acceptable lubricants* and is engineered to deliver optimal performance in marine stern tube systems, fin stabilisers and controllable pitch propeller (CPP) systems.
Mobil SHC™ Aware™ ST 100 and Mobil SHC™ Aware™ ST 220 may help:
- Maximise service life of machinery and reduce maintenance between dry docks
- Provide outstanding lubrication, including rust and corrosion protection, even with up to 20 percent water content
- Ensure compatibility with most common elastomers and seals
- Provide good miscibility with commonly used mineral products
Their lubricating film resists water, providing system protection even under severe operating conditions – which helps to extend component life, minimise unscheduled downtime, and lower potential remediation and cleanup costs caused by spills or leakage.
*Environmentally acceptable lubricants are defined in the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) 2013 Vessel General Permit (VGP) as lubricants that are biodegradable, minimally toxic and non-bioaccumulative.
